Stephan L. Prô, MD
Board-Certified Orthopaedic SurgeonDr. Prô is Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and is a Kansas native and 2004 graduate of the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine.
He completed his Orthopaedic surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in 2009 and an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship with the Santa Monica Orthopaedic Group in Los Angles. He was part of a team that performed a mission trip to Haiti just weeks after the Earthquake in early 2010. He also worked with professional soccer teams (LA Galaxy and Chivas USA) and the US Men's World Cup team in preparation for the World Cup in South Africa 2010. Prior to moving back to Kansas, he worked as the orthopaedic team physician for University of Portland and continues to travel with the US Soccer Federation for Men's team coverage.
Dr. Prô’s specialties include the evaluation and treatment of the young patient with hip/groin pain including hip arthroscopy and proximal hamstring repairs as well as knee and shoulder conditions. This includes arthroscopic rotator cuff repair techniques, anterior and posterior cruciate ligament reconstructions, multiple ligament knee injuries and cartilage restoration/transplantation.
