Richard G. Wendt, MD

Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Wendt is a 1979 graduate of Kansas State University and was born and raised in central Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1983. His internship and orthopaedic surgery residency were completed at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in affiliation with the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.

Dr. Wendt engages in general orthopaedic surgery, although he has special interests in arthritic hip and knee conditions, total joint reconstruction, arthroscopy and trauma. He has been involved with general hospital committees including, chief of surgery, as well as on the Board of Directors of the local VNA, and a volunteer preceptor for 1st and 2nd year KU medical students.

Douglass E. Stull, MD

Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Stull is a fellowship trained shoulder and elbow surgeon who has been with OrthoKansas since 2007. Originally from Maryland his academic career includes; the University of Texas for undergraduate studies and medical school graduating with high honors in each, Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina for his orthopaedic residency and the University of Pennsylvania for his fellowship. Additionally, Dr. Stull was a United States national team member in the Modern Pentathlon competing at the Olympic level. He continues to be involved with athletes as a team physician for the University of Kansas and United States Modern Pentathlon. He also serves on the medical commission for the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne, a member organization of the International Olympic Committee.

Dr. Stull’s clinical interests include all aspects of shoulder and elbow care in all ages, including sports injuries, trauma and joint replacement/reconstruction.

Luis D. Salazar, MD

Board-Certified American Board of Family Medicine

Dr. Salazar received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2001, a graduate degree in 2003 from Indiana University School of Medicine and a graduate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2007. He completed his family medicine residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center in 2010 and his Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2011. He has experience treating NCAA and NAIA collegiate athletes; gymnastics, rugby, wrestling, fencing, football, diving, and many recreational athletes.

Dr. Salazar’s interests include care of endurance athletes, foot/ankle biomechanical issues, injuries in high school athletics, medical issues in the athlete, musculoskeletal sports injuries and overuse injuries in the non-athlete.

Dr. Goodyear was born in Topeka and grew up in the small town of Auburn, just southwest of Topeka. He moved to Dallas, TX when he was 15 and went to high school there. He then went to undergrad at The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK and attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

Dr. Goodyear did his Orthopedic residency at KU med and his Fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery in Denver at the University of Colorado Denver. His interest in orthopedic surgery came from his uncle who was an orthopedic surgeon in Topeka for many years.

Dr. Goodyear’s primary interest is in Knee and Hip reconstruction/replacement as well as general orthopedics.

Hobbies & Interests

Watching OU sports and KC sports, spending time with family, friends, and his cat Penny, being outdoors, and traveling.

Neal D. Lintecum, MD

Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Lintecum is a 1986 graduate of Stanford University with honors in Mechanical Engineering. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine. His orthopaedic surgery residency was at the University of Arkansas. He completed an externship at Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Lintecum also completed subspecialty fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospitals. In addition to hand surgery, Dr. Lintecum practices general orthopaedics, including trauma, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and pediatric orthopaedics.

Stephan L. Prô, MD

Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Prô is Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and is a Kansas native and 2004 graduate of the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine.

He completed his Orthopaedic surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in 2009 and an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship with the Santa Monica Orthopaedic Group in Los Angles. He was part of a team that performed a mission trip to Haiti just weeks after the Earthquake in early 2010.

He also worked with professional soccer teams (LA Galaxy and Chivas USA) and the US Men's World Cup team in preparation for the World Cup in South Africa 2010. Prior to moving back to Kansas, he worked as the orthopaedic team physician for University of Portland and continues to travel with the US Soccer Federation for Men's team coverage.

Dr. Prô’s specialties include the evaluation and treatment of the young patient with hip/groin pain including hip arthroscopy and proximal hamstring repairs as well as knee and shoulder conditions. This includes arthroscopic rotator cuff repair techniques, anterior and posterior cruciate ligament reconstructions, multiple ligament knee injuries and cartilage restoration/transplantation.

Jennifer Waterman, DO

Dr. Waterman completed her Foot and Ankle Fellowship through Cleveland Clinic in 2016 and her Wellmont Orthopaedic Residency in 2015 through the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She completed an Osteopathic Internship in 2008 with the University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center, Richmond Heights OH.

Dr. Waterman achieved her Doctor of Osteopathy in 2007 with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg Virginia after completing her Bachelor of Arts, English/Pre-med in 2003 through the State University of Buffalo, Buffalo, NY.
